Big Data and Analytics
What is Big Data?
Big Data is not a new concept. However contemporary the name, it still refers to the age old practice of collecting large amounts of data, both structured and unstructured, for the purpose of analysis that informs government and business decisions. With access to more capable technology, organisations have been able to collect, store and analyse more data than ever before and in real-time. Analysing Big Data allows us to understand more about the world and those who live in it, which helps in writing policy and creating business platforms tailored to these people.
